Also, without extensive consideration of the theological implications of what\'s going on in the Middle East quagmire is just as absurd. This article gives both practical and eschatological perspectives to why the imposition of Western-style democracies throughout the region borders on the ludicrous. |

The Arab nations arose through the lines of: Abraham\'s nephew Lot, Abraham\'s son Ishmael, and through Esau the twin brother of Jacob. The Jews descended from Abraham, through the line of his promised son, Isaac, who fathered Jacob. In other words, both the Jews and the Arabs are able to trace their ethnic roots through Abraham back to the Shemite Chaldeans, the descendants of Shem.

How Bill Cosby Got it Wrong

Bill Cosby got it wrong. His many speeches regarding the plight of poor blacks in this country and their lack of personal responsibility were not only off the mark, but completely irresponsible. Cosby failed to take into account many mitigating factors, in what became his regular rants on poor blacks in this country. For example, the last of the civil rights laws was passed in 1965, so it\'s been forty years since the physical signs of government sanctioned racism have been in place. Please explain to me how in forty years we are to undo centuries of terror and government sponsored segregation, emasculation and murder?

Bush and Kerry Differ on Immigration Policies

Up until the final debate at Arizona State University, the issue of immigration had not been much discussed. Both presidential candidates know very well that illegal immigration is a hot button topic in our country, and each man is now trying to use it to his political advantage. Since the eighties the Democratic Party has, in general, supported immigrants and has been for fair and just immigration laws. However, there are those members of the party who claim that the presence of millions of undocumented immigrants undermines the bargaining power of the US born labor force. On the other side, the Republican Party traditionally has been against immigrants, but is increasingly reaching out to the Latino population. Advocates of free markets within the party have flat out called for the opening of the borders. |
