Brigitte Lin Ching Hsia

Brigitte Lin is a Chinese SUPER STAR. Made over 100 films. She was discovered as a teenager (17 years old) back in the late 70\'s on a busy street in Teipai, Taiwan. At age 17, she was cast as a student falling in love with her teacher in the film \"Out side my window.\" Dated actor Hong Chin for over ten years in the 80\'s. No one in the modern Chinese film history has maintained a career as her. She is the \"Grable\" of Chinese films.
It wasn\'t until later in Lin\'s career that she achieved legendary status as HK\'s premiere swordsman (literally). Her role as \"Asia the Invincible\" in Ching Siu-Tung\'s \'Swordsman II\' with Jet Li, Rosamund Kwan & Michelle Reis (all-star cast!) propelled her into International superstardom. She developed a very powerful screen presence, which led to future action roles in \'The Bride with White Hair\', \'Dragon Inn\', \'Deadful Melody\' & \'Fire Dragon\' A powerful screen fighter and wonderful actress, she ended her film career with two great films from director Wong Kar Wai. \'Ashes of Time\' the swordsplay epic with Leslie Cheung and \'Chungking Express\' an art house classic. It is rumored that Lin may return to acting later this year for a HK production. She has been quoted as saying she would return for the right part. Let\'s keep our fingers crossed.
