Project Mind Jump - A Mission

Whether an individual is a down and out person on the street or a billionaire software guru - both are a work in progress.  They're exactly the same in this capacity.  The only difference is in their individual thinking.  It's in the mind.  An answer for the obvious discrepancy isn't found in what they're thinking but how they're thinking.   I believe we're all works in progress, each and every one of us.

What did you say to yourself the last time you made some mistake or did something dumb?  What did you say to yourself when you've seen somebody else make a mistake or do something stupid?  I bet along with some other interesting adjectives you may have been saying to yourself "What's that d__ba_s thinking?"  This is reactionary thinking.  This is the mode of thinking people are in much of the time.  In fact it even goes further.  Many are in and out of automatic, survival, or reactionary modes of thinking all the time.  It can be exhausting.

I know this confusion from personal experience.  About three years ago I was having terrible anxiety and panic attacks.  The worst one actually forced me into a hospital emergency room.  I really thought I may have been having a heart attack.  Strangely enough, other than maybe some heavy breathing, there was no pain yet it all seemed so real.  The doctor sent me home with the recommendation of getting a c-scan, which I did.  There was nothing wrong.  Although I was relieved it was a little embarrassing.  It was all in my mind.

Many readers who have never experienced anxiety or panic attacks may find this almost amusing.  Those who have can understand it completely.  My personal doctor recommended an anti-depressant.  At that time I decided I would search for other alternatives.  I wasn't convinced the drug approach was for me.  Prescription drugs seem to be a quick fix in our society today.  The benefits and drawbacks of drugs, of course, have to be evaluated by each individual and their doctor.

I began my internet search and finally came across what I was looking for.  I found something that corrected my thinking and helped me to quickly eliminate my anxiety and panic attacks.  Over a half century ago, a successful physicist discovered a powerful technique that will effectively conquer these type of personal challenges.  This technique exposes a powerful ability we all have.  In fact we were born with it; it's just hidden from us.  I can't possibly provide all the detailed information within the constraints of this writing.  You can learn more at the close of this article.

Many of you may have seen the 1999 award winning hit movie "American Beauty" and many may not.  The movie setting targets middle-class suburbia.  Although a fictional movie, I think it's a realistic example of our culture in this country today.  A culture that's continually cultivated at our expense - mentally, physically, and financially.  We buy into a lot of junk and it's become a throw away world.

The disturbing part is at times we don't even realize it; we're simply told it's good or it's the right thing to do.  This also happens through our own wants and desires or maybe someone we believe to be better than ourself.  It's a "keep up with the Jones" mentality.  Odd thing, there's no real freedom or true happiness in it.  Is the latest thing you bought providing you with lasting joy or peace of mind?  Maybe you're the exception but many suffer buyer's remorse.

Another interesting aspect of the show is a special connection between the main character Lester Burnham and a young man dating his daughter.  Again this movie is fictional, but the connection between the two of them and the source of it I believe to be real.  This source is internal (not something outside your self) and is there for everyone to use.  I'll be straight with you.  If this source wasn't real or didn't exist I'd still be fighting my anxiety and panic attacks.  The method I used (and still use today) reveals the source.

This special connection becomes deeper and more obvious at the end of the show.  If you haven't seen it I would encourage you to do so by renting or buying a copy.  I didn't see this movie until late 2007 on cable television. I then went out and bought the dvd.  What can I say  other than I enjoyed it.  I don't make it a point to see the latest box office hit.

By now the skeptic in you may have come out.  Are you in a survival or reactionary mode of thinking?  The only way is for you to prove it to yourself by experiencing this internal source and the benefits of the technique.  Remember earlier in this article when I mentioned how I believe our society buys into a lot of junk?  That's what people honestly need to realize.  This is a chance for you to discover something useful, timeless, will never wear out, and will be with you the rest of your life.  It's something that will assist you with any personal issue whether it's health, emotional, or even financial related.

What's more noble than learning more of our self?  The idea and purpose of this mission is simple.  If every one of us become better our world becomes better.
