Ever since watching the Lion King as a bright-eyed 23 year old, Clive dreamt of seeing one of these magical beasts up close. And so, after much pestering and gnashing of teeth, his parents eventually relented and decided to take him to South Africa, where many a fun safari could be enjoyed.
Used to being well looked after, Clive and his family opted for a luxury safari package and so embarked on an epic journey. The trip lasted two weeks, giving them enough time to enjoy the many highlights
Their trip began at the Kruger National Park (where Clive got the opportunity to see his beloved lions) as well as the rest of the famed Big Five, namely the Rhinoceros, Leopard, Cape Buffalo, and the Elephant. Although not used to humid conditions, their stay in the Kruger was made further enjoyable by the comfortable setting of their safari lodge, where the air conditioning , luxurious accommodation and fine cuisine ensured they were well rested and energised ahead of their game drives and safaris. Photos were taken and many memories were created during this leg of their journey.
From there they reached Victoria Falls, undoubtedly one of the loudest places Clive had ever been to, besides that rave party he snuck out to a few years previously. Sun City was an absolute blast, Clive’s mom was able to get a lovely golden tan while basking in the sun, while Clive’s dad was able to squeeze a leisurely game of golf in at one of the 2 championship golf courses there.
Their holiday was not yet complete though, and so it was on to the famous winelands of the Western Cape. Seasoned wine aficionados, Clive’s folks had a fabulous time sampling the many and diverse wines on offer in the region, and simply loved the tranquil setting of the Franscchoek valley and surrounding regions.
An already unforgettable holiday was capped off by a few nights in Cape Town. With everyone well looked after in a luxury Cape Town hotel, Clive was able to sneak off to one of the many sizzling nightspots Cape Town has to offer. The family enjoyed a stunning trip up Table Mountain, where Clive’s dad suffered from a bit of vertigo, as well as trip to Robben Island, where Clive’s dad suffered on the boat trip going through.
Avid shoppers, the family had an absolute ball at the V&A Waterfront, and during dinner time, could choose from a range of the finest dining establishments in the country.
After 14 days, they had truly had a holiday to remember. Enjoying luxury African travel at it’s finest, this was a an unforgettable journey, something which everyone should try and experience at least once in their lives.
