More and more PDA users are adding playing games to the list of things they do on their PDA.  You can spend unbelievable amounts of money on these games or you can get them for free. Who doesn't like getting something for free? It is actually easier then you might think to get free full version pocket pc games. You just have to know where to look.  There are some different types of games and you should get to know about them before you go looking so you what will work for you.

The first type is called freeware. Freeware is, as its name suggests, free. You do not have top pay any registration or other fees. It can be freely distributed without worry. They are quite easy to find with a simple search on a search engine. Just type in the word "freeware" along with the name or type of game you are looking for.  Another type of gameware is shareware. Shareware is only a partial version of a game. It is a way for a game maker to let you play before trying. Sometimes you have to pay a fee to be able to download the game. These types of game ware often have levels that are blocked or other features that you can not use until you pay a registration fee. Some games are actually worth getting as shareware because only advanced options are blocked, leaving you with the main game play accessible. One more downside to shareware is they often have what are called nag screens. These nag screens pop up to remind you to register the game. If you are looking for a truly free full version download you should probably stick with freeware.

There are two different types of games that can be found in freeware. There are clones and originals. Originals are much harder to find then clones. Usually free versions of an original game are only available for old games that are no longer profitable. The manufacturer then allows them to be distributed for no cost. Clone versions copy a popular game.  The creator will make a new game based on the concept of an existing game. They change it up a little to avoid infringing on copyright laws. Clones are easy to find and widely available for all different PDA types. You will have the most luck finding a clone version of a game, but  if it is an older game you may get lucky and be able to find it for free. 

If you want a full version pocket pc game for free you should definitely start searching the internet. The recommended things to look for are freeware clones. The beauty of clones are you are getting as game that is basically like the brand name version, but for free. Once you discover the world of freeware you will never buy a game again.
